Page 75  The Long Boxed Locos – in the paragraph dealing with ‘Box End Stamps’ or ‘labels’ – mention needs to be made of a decision in early 1992 to re-use some of the previously stamped ‘Long Box’ loco box lids. Rather than over-labelling the 1st stamping, as they had previously done, the box end stamping was covered with a very neatly applied ‘Tippex’ type material (believed to be Tampo Printing white tape). The new identity was then stamped over the top of this tape. Both standard and ‘Limited Edition’ boxes were re-stamped in this way. Some of the ‘Tippex’ tape has since become very brittle and on some boxes it has broken away to reveal the original stamps underneath. This tape was not used on ‘unused’ boxes and the locos W2312 to W2316 were fitted with one-end typed labels as mentioned on Page 90.
