Original WRENN Packaging

Details of ALL original Wrenn (Basildon) packaging are included in the book "The Story of Wrenn" covering the history of G. & R. Wrenn Limited, from the First Wrenn Period - 1966 to 1969, through the Tri-ang Wrenn  Period - 1970 to 1971 and then to the Third and Fourth Period of production at Basildon - 1972 to 1992.

For ongoing assistance, the following  picture is of the rear of a GENUINE box issued whilst the Company was in production at Basildon. Although the picture is of a 1991/1992 issued 'short box', it is believed that ALL boxes issued at Basildon during the years 1980 through to 1992 (Period Four) had the same arrangement of the 'Guard with the Flag' in the bottom left hand corner of the rear of the box, sitting ABOVE the line of the square. Some Period Three boxes had the Guard sitting on the base of the square but this NEVER happened on Period FOUR boxes issued at Basildon.  I will be adding pictures of Genuine Loco and Coach boxes shortly.
